Is EditPhotosForFree really free?
Yes. Every tool is completely free to use, with no paywalls, trials, watermarks, or premium tiers. You can use each tool as many times as you like.
Do I need to create an account?
No. There are no accounts and no sign-up. Open any tool and start working immediately. We do not ask for your email or personal details to use the tools.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. All tools run entirely in your browser on your own device. Your images are processed locally and are never uploaded to us. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
How does the AI background remover work without uploading my image?
The background remover runs a neural network directly in your browser using WebGPU (your graphics hardware). The model is downloaded once, then all processing happens on your device — so your image never leaves it.
Which browsers are supported?
The tools work in all modern browsers, including Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari. The AI background remover requires a browser with WebGPU support (currently Chrome and Edge on most devices).
Do the tools work on mobile?
Yes. The site and the tools are fully responsive and work on phones and tablets. Some tools are easier to use on a larger screen, but all of them are usable on mobile.
What file formats can I export?
It depends on the tool. Most image tools export PNG, and several also support JPG and WEBP. The caption tool can export video (MP4 or WebM), and the QR code tool exports PNG or SVG.
Do the tools work offline?
Once a tool has finished loading, most of it keeps running even if your connection drops, because the processing happens on your device. The initial load (and the one-time AI model download) does need a connection.
Can I use the results for commercial projects?
Yes. You own the images and content you create with the tools, and you are free to use them however you like, including commercially, as long as you comply with our Terms & Conditions.
