Privacy Policy

The short version: your photos never leave your device. Here's the full picture of what we do — and don't — do with your data.

Last updated: August 20, 2026

The short version

EditPhotosForFree is built to be private. All of our tools run entirely in your web browser on your own device. When you edit an image, it is processed locally by your browser — it is not uploaded to any server, and we do not store it.

We have no server that receives your images. Because processing happens on your device, there is no image data for us to collect, store, or leak.

What we do not collect

  • Your images. Files you open are read by your browser and processed locally. They are never sent to us.
  • Accounts. We do not require accounts, so we do not collect names, passwords, or profiles tied to your edits.
  • Editing history. We do not log or store what you edit or the results you produce.

What we may collect

The Service is designed to collect as little as possible. The limited information that may be handled includes:

  • Contact messages. If you email us or use the contact form, we receive the information you choose to send (for example, your email address and message) so we can respond. We use it only to answer you and do not sell it.
  • Basic usage data. If we enable privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we may collect anonymous, aggregated information such as page views and general device or browser type — never your image content.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember small preferences, such as your chosen color theme (dark or light). This data stays on your device and is used only to make the site feel consistent for you. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

We do not use tracking cookies to follow you across the web.

Third-party services

The site may load certain resources from third parties, such as:

  • Web fonts (for example, from Google Fonts) to render text.
  • AI model files loaded from a content delivery network, which run locally in your browser to power tools like the background remover.

These third parties may receive standard technical information (such as your IP address) as part of serving those resources. They are governed by their own privacy policies. They do not receive your images.

Data retention

Because we do not receive or store your images, there is no image data to retain. Any contact messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond to you and are not used for advertising.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data-protection laws (such as the GDPR or CCPA) to access, correct, or delete personal information. Since we collect very little personal data, most of these rights are not relevant in practice. If you have a request, contact us and we will do our best to help.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
